lpv:spoken text	"This resolution calls on Member States to take action to modernise customs procedures across the EU. In particular, this report calls for serious action to be taken to combat illegal imports. Greater cooperation between customs authorities in all Member States will combat the trade in illegal and counterfeit goods, and ensure greater product safety and protection of intellectual property rights across the EU. A seamless and harmonised application of EU customs legislation throughout the EU will enhance the competitiveness of EU firms, but MEPs pointed out that customs controls should primarily target high-risk consignments to reduce the burden and cost on importers and customs authorities."@en1
