"The exploitation of judicial institutions for party and political ends, as has been seen in Ukraine, shows that there are still obstacles to the promotion of the rights and fundamental guarantees of Ukrainian citizens. The reforms policy that Ukraine is implementing is centred on institutional, economic and social areas. The strategic importance of the Ukraine to the EU is undeniable. Nevertheless, we must avoid double-dealing and forgetting the constituent principles of the EU, which are the foundation of all European policies.
