"I voted in favour. Ukraine has been at a crossroads for some time. It is important for the country’s political elite to have sufficient political will to maintain a European course, not just economically but also in terms of values. I hope that Ukraine will, in the near future, implement the reforms necessary in the area of justice and will ensure Yulia Tymoshenko’s right to an appeal and that all opposition groups have the opportunity to participate unhindered in political processes and in elections. On the other hand, the EU should support Ukraine’s European aspirations. Ukraine is one of the most advanced ENP countries, and its success story will encourage other Eastern Partnership countries to follow suit. I hope that EU Heads of State will give the green light to the association agreement before the end of the year."@en1
