Over the 20 years between borders being opened and today, the single market has given truly significant impetus to the European economy, changing citizens’ lives for the better. Today, we remain confident in the growth potential of the European single market for addressing the financial crisis. That is why, moreover, I hope that the Single Market Forum will be held regularly so as to allow businesses, citizens and local and regional administrations to take part in it directly and influence the future evolution of the European market."@en1
