The ECR Group voted against the report on the basis that Article 121 of the TFEU clearly states that: ‘Member States shall regard their economic policies as a matter of common concern and shall coordinate them within the Council, in accordance with Article 120’. It is therefore against the TFEU for the report to call for a codecision procedure in paragraph 41. We also could not support paragraph 63 which calls for the development of the concept of a European Treasury. For these reasons, we were unable to support the report."@en1
