lpv:translated text	"We find ourselves in a specific moment of crisis in which the coordination of Member States’ economic policies has a crucial role. The experience of the preceding European Semester has shown that national reform programmes still lack transparency and viability. National economic and budgetary policies must be used to reach the objectives set out in the Stability Pact and the Europe 2020 strategy. That is why we need to assess the situation at a European level, so that the Union can take a coordinated approach in order to tackle European and national economic difficulties. I hope that in January, starting with the presentation of the Annual Growth Survey by the Commission, a clearer framework of all the future coordination actions in the economic sphere is mapped out for us, so that the challenges ahead can be faced with greater determination and fortitude."@en1
