lpv:translated text	"I voted for the European Parliament legislative resolution of 1 December 2011 on the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union because I support the Republic of Croatia’s accession to the European Union. The Commission must continue to monitor the preparations for accession rigorously and objectively and assist the Croatian authorities in meeting their commitments and obligations, as assumed during the negotiations. Furthermore, the Commission must inform Parliament on a regular basis about the extent to which the Croatian authorities are honouring their commitments, with a view to assuming fully the obligations arising from being a member when it joins, on 1 July 2013. We should point out that Parliament has to be consulted on any substantial modification to the draft Treaty on the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union. We are expecting more active participation from Croatia as of 1 July 2013 in the development and implementation of the EU’s macro-regional strategies, especially the EU strategy for the Danube region."@en1
