lpv:translated text	"I voted for the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union as, based on the reports presented to Parliament, I believe that the conditions for the admission of the candidate country have been fulfilled. I would, however, point out the Commission’s duty to monitor the remaining preparations for accession closely and objectively, and to help the Croatian authorities meet the commitments and obligations that they took on in the negotiations. I would also highlight the need for the Commission to keep Parliament regularly informed about the extent to which the Croatian authorities are honouring their commitments, so that they can take on all their obligations as a Member State when the country joins the EU on 1 July 2013."@en1
