However, the Commission must continue to monitor further preparations for accession with rigour and objectivity. Croatia must guarantee the stability of institutions safeguarding democracy, the rule of law and human rights and properly satisfy economic and legal requirements. Consequently, it is very important to ensure that the Croatian authorities are given full assistance so that they are able to properly fulfil the commitments and obligations they entered into during the negotiations."@en1
