lpv:translated text	"Today, the European Parliament adopted an historic decision, consenting to the accession to the European Union of the Republic of Croatia and the Council decision accepting Croatia’s application for accession. I hope that Croatia will continue to keep up the good progress it has made in meeting the commitments it entered into during the negotiations. I am pleased that Lithuania, the country I come from, and Croatia will be linked by history given that Croatia’s accession to the EU is due to take place on 1 July 2013 during Lithuania’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. I hope that here in the European Parliament, we will soon be able to congratulate our parliamentary observer colleagues from Croatia."@en1
