lpv:translated text	"I welcomed this document because the European Parliament has declared that it is ready to accept the compromise package, in a spirit of compromise, as the remaining duration of the current instruments is rather short. It is regrettable that it was not possible to further improve the text of the DCI/BAM (development cooperation instrument/banana accompanying measures) instrument, in particular, in relation to the European Parliament’s role in adopting strategic decisions, where an equal footing between the colegislators is essential. This result should not set a precedent for the future negotiations on the post-2013 external financing instruments.
