"More needs to be done to reduce the rate of school drop outs, particularly for the most vulnerable groups in our society – 20% of Roma children get no education at all and, of those who have been in education, 30% have dropped out of school. We need a more varied and effective approach to teaching – a wide curriculum which includes vocational training is vital at this time. We need young skilled workers to help boost the economy and need to ensure that everybody leaves school with qualifications – at the moment, around 52% of children that leave school without qualifications are jobless. Making sure that people have a second chance to gain qualifications is a fundamental part of this report, which I fully support."@en1
