"Tackling early school leaving is one of the EU’s objectives in the Europe 2020 strategy. The aim is to reduce school drop-out rates to 10%, from the current rate of 14.4%. I voted in favour of this report, as it proposes individualised measures to prevent early school leaving and to get young people who have dropped out back into the school system. I think that the creation of channels of cooperation between as many educational and economic stakeholders as possible is one of the most crucial proposals made in this report, which reflects the role of the school as a crucial stage in a person’s integration into society and the world of work."@en1
