We believe this increase in appropriations is a fairly significant contribution to the peace process and the Palestinian people. Increases under Heading 4 in financial aid for Palestine, the peace process and the UNRWA, as well as in banana accompanying measures, are being redeployed from unused appropriations under the Macro-Financial Assistance, and are part of the agreement reached by the Conciliation Committee on the budget for the financial year 2012. Although we have some doubts about how these sums are to be used, there are very positive aspects, not least those targeting Palestine, so we voted in favour."@en1
