lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of this resolution because every consumer must have non-discriminatory access to the Internet and enjoy adequate protection. Attention should be drawn to the fact that the Internet’s open nature has been a key driver of competitiveness, economic growth, social development and innovation. It is one of the key accelerators in the free circulation of knowledge, ideas and information, particularly in countries where the freedom of the independent media is restricted. I believe that the Commission must provide EU-wide guidelines to ensure that the provisions of the Telecoms package on net neutrality are properly and consistently applied and enforced. The Member States must also unreservedly enforce the ban on misleading advertising and otherwise enhance citizens’ confidence in the online environment."@en1
