Given the high cost of equipping cinemas with digital projectors, most small cinemas will not be able to cope with the change; they will be forced out of the market and will have to close down. That is likely to severely limit access to culture in rural areas, which generally only have this kind of small, independent cinema, not to mention the adverse effects on jobs."@en1
