lpv:translated text	"In order to mitigate the negative impact of globalisation, the funding available from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund needs to be used in a targeted manner. It is very important to ensure that assistance for workers made redundant should be dynamic and made available as quickly and efficiently as possible. I welcome the decision to allocate support to companies in Greece operating in the retail sector because hundreds of workers have been made redundant as a result of the economic and financial crisis. I believe that the amount allocated is sufficient to mitigate the consequences of mass redundancy in this sector and will create favourable conditions for workers in this sector who have suffered to return to the labour market. This assistance will cover the costs of job search, training and retraining and the promotion of entrepreneurship and will effectively halt the spread of unemployment in the country."@en1
