"I voted in favour of this report, by which the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund has allocated substantial support, some EUR 21 664 148, to Ireland. I welcome this decision to allocate funds to support Irish workers in the sectors of architectural and engineering activities and technical testing and analysis made redundant as a direct result of the global financial crisis. This fund, designed to assist with retraining and back to work programmes, will be a welcome step in the right direction for redundant workers looking to diversify and develop new skill sets."@en1
