"Relations between the EU and Georgia are very important in many areas, and the aviation agreement represents a practical implementation of this in the area of transport. For reasons such as efficiency and cost-reduction – as is the case with Jordan – Member States including Slovakia have strongly supported the negotiations over this agreement. For states that are in regions directly adjacent to the continent of Europe – which also applies to Georgia – there is another important factor in relation to the development of the Single European Sky. In addition to all of the Member States, the EU is trying to incorporate neighbouring states into this common area as well. This increases the significance of the agreement all the more, and is also a reason why I fully support it."@en1
