"In today’s part-session, we voted on Ms Nedelcheva’s report on European statistics on permanent crops. The Commission proposal aims to update the existing legal framework for European statistics on permanent crops to bring them into line with current user and market requirements. These relate to using the statistical data on permanent crops as a reliable basis for taking judicious decisions in relation to production and the European market. The proposal aims to simplify the breakdown of user data, adapting them to statistical needs by cancelling the annual statistics on crops and the detailed breakdown of wine production."@en1
