After all, what does a state have to fear from a woman who is old and infirm and who is only doing her job by helping traumatised people? What is so dangerous about this? She has been accused of having a destabilising effect on the state. In this case, however, the government, the dictatorship, is completely at a loss and, in a completely misguided move, is attempting to make an example of her. As my colleague Mr Preda has already pointed out, we now find ourselves in the realms of the surreal. We all welcomed the Arab Spring and the democratisation of the region. Of course we Europeans are pleased to see such developments and are trying to support this movement, including though a variety of contacts.
