This motion for a resolution calls on the Commission immediately to establish a legal framework that will require a responsible attitude to the use of these agents and contribute to greater public awareness through information initiatives. Furthermore, it demands a fully functional system of data input controls, so as to obtain reliable data in relation to the sensitivity to antimicrobial agents of pathogens that cause infection from which trend analyses can be obtained, allowing an early warning system to be established.
