Protecting children from sexual exploitation, abuse and the disgusting world of child pornography means defending our children and our grandchildren, and hence the most vulnerable. Greater prevention, harsher criminal punishments for offenders and more careful child protection are the core points of the document voted on today. The road is, without doubt, a long one. I am thinking in particular about the dissemination of child pornography over the Internet, which can only be fought through close cooperation between Member States, police forces and Internet providers."@en1
