I also wish to thank President Rompuy, President Barroso, Commissioner Olli Rehn and, let us not forget, the President of the European Central Bank, Mr Trichet, who has also made an important contribution to solving the problems caused by the crisis. There was much impatience concerning these decisions because it has not been easy for creditors to accept that they have as much responsibility for indebted countries. Likewise, it has not been easy for creditors to accept that they should lose some of the money borrowed and bear that loss.
