"We, the Greens, abstained. Admittedly, following a proposal by the Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance, Parliament has managed to incorporate green criteria in the area of research and technology as well as in the common agricultural policy, which is tantamount to making the CAP ‘greener’. We are also delighted that Parliament has adopted an amendment by the Greens on controlling the influence of lobbies. Finally, the European Parliament also voted to limit its business class flights, something that the Greens supported, since this represents a substantial saving for the European Parliament’s budget."@en1
