It is important that we have the financial means available to us to provide long-term, forward-looking management of our fisheries. The European Union must be able to continue to fulfil its role in the fisheries sector. We want to promote dynamic growth. This also applies to the pilot projects which aim to strengthen marine research and integrated marine management.
