The European States need to be proactive in freezing the proceeds of organised crime, in order to condemn these practices and prevent a repetition of them in the future. Organised crime needs coordinated and cross-border action to combat it in the areas in Europe in which it is deeply rooted. The Committee on Foreign Affairs has a clear role to play."@en1
