"Single mothers are often overlooked in the development of public policy on benefits, to the detriment of the specific problems that they raise. From the mothers’ point of view, on the one hand, they often experience difficulties accessing employment or vocational training, while from their children’s point of view, on the other, what stands out is that they have less time in which to enjoy family life and, as a result, have less opportunity to continue studying. This is an area that deserves the attention of policy makers, and in which there is justification for starting an open dialogue to find solutions for alleviating the current precarious conditions. I therefore voted in favour."@en1
