lpv:translated text	"I have voted in favour of the report on the mutual evaluation process of the Services Directive because I believe that it is important for the Member States to share their experiences of the mutual evaluation. This is the only way in which we can put in place sensible follow-up measures to ensure that the internal market for services functions effectively. Shortcomings have been identified in the mutual evaluation process and these need to be rectified. In my opinion, it is important for the process to be more transparent and for interest groups to be included and kept informed. We must also highlight the fact that the evaluation should be restricted to the framework directive and should only cover the most important provisions, so that the Member States have scope for discretion and so that the administrative burden does not become too great."@en1
