"In this generally difficult situation, some sections of the population who already suffer more than others must certainly not be abandoned; in fact, they need to receive more help than usual. Disabled people, unfortunately, still have numerous difficulties accessing the labour market, which is the basis for achieving a full and independent life.
It is also necessary to encourage their mobility as much as possible. The simple example of the European mobility card is very important. It does not seem to me too difficult a project to implement, but the European Union would have to insist in order to definitively resolve the issue. Finally, I believe the explicit reference to sign language as an official EU language is very important. Let us hope that this sends a strong message to the Member States, so that they begin to move in this direction. This report touches on these and many other important issues, which is why I voted in favour."@en1
