"Its importance means that the European External Action Service (EEAS) deserves to be allocated an adequate budget that enables it to carry out its activities satisfactorily. Unless that is properly secured, the smooth working of European foreign policy and the Union’s actual ability to have a presence in various parts of the world will come under threat. However, doubts persist as to the suitability of its organisational structure to the challenges that it faces. I hope that this situation can be changed in the future, and that the EEAS will be able to become an effective service that is increasingly suited to doing what is required of it."@en1
