"Mr President, Commissioner, today we have heard the most specific, practical and cohesive proposal from the Commission since the crisis broke 18 months ago. The way forward, with timetables and actions, has been set out very clearly.
I shall focus on a comment made by Mr Verhofstadt. As regards the recapitalisation of the banks, we need a European plan for this particular process, because I fear that the three points you presented may cause massive problems with the Irish, Greek and Portuguese banks.
My question, Commissioner, is this: will the agreement of 21 July be revised? Will any points be revised? Will there be an increase in the haircut for Greece, as Mr Chountis implied?"@en1
