"Mr President, the Slovak Republic and the vote in the National Council of the Slovak Republic have been mentioned a number of times in speeches, and I would first like to thank my colleague, Mr Swoboda, for being perhaps one of the few to take the effort to actually identify the causes of what happened last night in the Slovak Parliament. In contrast to Mr Farage, for example, who is no longer here, he at least has a sense of how Slovak parliamentary government works.
I would like to ask you, Mr Swoboda, as an experienced European politician, and as a politician who has also often addressed the critical attitude of the Slovak Republic at a time when this was necessary, how you perceive the need for consensus in such fundamental European issues at the level of national parliaments?"@en1
