lpv:translated text	"The relevant institutions must make the necessary efforts to improve the budget processes and procedures with the aim of mobilising the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) more quickly. In this regard, the improvement procedure implemented by the Commission, at the European Parliament’s request, for speeding up the issuing of grants marks an important step. I should mention the importance of the commitment made by the institutions to provide a quick, simple procedure for adopting decisions on mobilising the EGF. I also think that measures financed by the EGF should lead to long-term employment. However, the assistance provided by the EGF must not replace the actions which companies are responsible for taking, in accordance with national legislation or collective agreements."@en1
