However, it seems to me wrong that the Palestinian Authority should demand conditions for its sitting down at the negotiating table. Even less reasonable do I find the Palestinian Authority’s wish that Palestine be officially recognised as a state under the rule of law when, at the same time, it denies such recognition to the State of Israel. We still have a long way to go before both parties reach an agreement, yet I feel that, with good faith on all sides, a solution will, sooner or later, be found to this difficult matter."@en1
