"I voted against the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund because its real function is to make the people of the nations of Europe feel that the EU is taking care of them in the ongoing economic crisis. It gives most money to workers, not in the countries worst affected but in those who are doing better. Not alone that, but it gives money to workers who are in receipt of redundancy packages and are eligible for unemployment benefits. I would like to find out how many workers that have benefited from the fund have found jobs in the field where they been retrained."@en1
