Following the Commission’s unambitious proposals earlier in the year, the Parliament have set out their plans and ideas that will cut road deaths from the current levels of 35 000 a year across the EU. This report sends a strong message to governments, including the UK Government, that we must take serious measures to cut accidents and road deaths in the EU, and not be cutting road safety budgets."@en1
