"I voted against the original text of Paragraph 4. I do not believe that an EU road safety coordinator would add value at European level. I believe this would be a further layer of bureaucracy without any real benefits. Yes, I know we need exchange of best practice, but if we set up an EU road safety coordinator, that means we need a secretariat and this would require extra resources that I believe could be better used elsewhere."@en1
