Without doubt it is good news that Colonel Gaddafi has been given his marching orders after being in power for forty- two years. The revolutionaries and NATO should be praised, and within the European Union we should give credit to Britain and France, especially to David Cameron and Nicholas Sarkozy for the leadership and courage they have shown from the beginning. We now must look to the future. Libya has particular advantages. They have financial resources that will be available to them in the future and they have oil wells that will ensure that they have a good standard of living. Baroness Ashton has a major role to play to ensure that there will be stability in the country and especially that they have a democratic government and that the people of Libya will be in charge of it."@en1
