lpv:translated text	"Not only does the problem of homelessness continue to exist in Member States of the EU; in some cases it is getting worse and a new category of homeless people has emerged, the ‘new homeless’. The European platform for combating poverty and social exclusion may be ambitious, but it alone cannot address the entire problem and it is therefore vital that the EU immediately adopt new strategic actions other than formulating opinions and reports on the subject. The resolution responds to these needs, by proposing an enhanced and more proactive strategy to deal with the problem of homelessness at EU level, which will define methods and means for ensuring the best possible follow-up to the work started by the Commission on homelessness. That is why I voted in favour of it."@en1
