The annual activity report is aimed at presenting an accurate and complete picture of the work of the Committee on Petitions, through a series of statistics on the number of petitions received, completed or handled by the committee, or statistics on the countries or issues in question, making this an important quantitative tool in assessing the work of the committee. This overview is complemented by other aspects, such as relations with other European institutions, national and regional authorities, or institutional changes with a direct impact on the activity of the Committee on Petitions. Finally, the report examines the progress made in implementing the previous recommendations, which were aimed at improving the work of this committee."@en1
