It has given new impetus to the struggle against all forms of poverty and social exclusion, including homelessness. That is why I am in favour of Member States proceeding with the measure to eliminate street sleeping by 2015, including the proposal to draw up an ambitious integrated EU strategy based on national and regional strategies which aim to eliminate homelessness over the long term within the framework of broader social inclusion.
