".
The crisis permeates our debates. We are united in diversity – but despite, and precisely because of, this unity it is clear that all citizens are being asked very forcefully to play their part. This starts with the States that must fulfil their financial obligations; however, it also requires all citizens of the relevant countries that are in debt and have got into difficulties to take responsibility: entirely in the spirit of solidarity – a question of give and take. It cannot be possible for the responsibility to fall solely on our citizens. In the long term, more Europe means more investment in education for all of our citizens – in that way we will create the opportunity for new and sustainable jobs, and if there are more jobs, there will be more tax revenue for the State."@en1
