The agreements underlying the Stability Pact have not been honoured and the people are constantly being fed lies about the aid measures. Because they will not be seeing that money ever again. Mr Verhofstadt, you are right: this single currency cannot work. However, if you ask yourself how we ended up in this situation, just take a good look at yourself. Your party was actually in power when this euro thing was introduced and when this single currency, that was never going to work, came into being. You, yourselves, must bear a share of the responsibility. Your parties are responsible, so you can stop going round pointing the finger at other people. You, yourself, are at fault. The people have been forgotten. No one wants this, and no one was asked whether or not they wanted to end up in this situation. It is a disgrace that the Greeks have found themselves in this situation. It is also a disgrace that we are in this situation.
