Mr Daul and Mr Verhofstadt have repeatedly spoken of the necessity of harmonising corporate taxation. I would like to ask if they have in mind specifically the harmonisation of corporate tax rates in the European Union. I would also like to ask if they do not think that such harmonisation of corporate tax rates means increasing the amount of tax paid by businesses in some countries of the European Union which today are developing faster, amongst other reasons because of their tax competitiveness."@en1
