"Small and medium-sized enterprises are currently a strongly thriving sector of the economy. Demand for a whole range of services is constantly on the increase, and innovative business ideas are at a premium. It is therefore necessary to support women in particular, because they have a weaker position in the labour market than men, and their creativity and specific qualities as employees are not being fully utilised. We should support all measures which enable women to develop their own initiatives easily and without unnecessary bureaucracy. Also necessary is training or help with setting up a business, because many women want to do this and have a business idea, but do not know how to begin. Another important matter is the need for support to encourage women to take up work in such enterprises, including measures to make things easier for young mothers, such as the provision of child care facilities at their place of work, for example, and support for women who are approaching retirement age but who have invaluable experience and extensive knowledge of their work."@en1
