lpv:translated text	"The EU strategy on raw materials aims to ensure the stable supply in Europe of key raw materials for European industry, such as, for example, lead, at a time when the raw materials market is becoming more competitive and raw materials, in particular rare earth elements, are concentrated in a few countries which are often undemocratic. At a time of increasing globalisation, Europe must take steps to ensure a secure supply of raw materials. This can be done by better use of indigenous raw materials, but where that is not possible, we should look to provide security with the aid of appropriate international agreements. I believe that this report is a step in the right direction, but it must be followed up by practical action."@en1
