"I voted against the Galileo programme as an expensive and vain EU project which alleges that it makes air travel safer, cuts time spent in traffic jams and enhances border security, but, in fact, it is an ambitious project which merely seeks to promote the EU brand internationally. Taxpayers’ money must be spent on more meaningful projects than sending into space 30 satellites, simply in order to compete with the USA."@en1
