"I voted against the Galileo programme as an expensive, useless and void EU project which alleges to replace the GPS system and, for example, enhance border security, but, in fact, is an ambitious project which merely seeks to promote the EU brand globally. Taxpayers’ money must be spent on more reasonable projects than sending into space EU-labelled satellites in order to compete with the USA. The purpose of Galileo is to further the EU’s plans for one military force to which I am totally opposed."@en1
