lpv:translated text	"The purposes of this report are the same as for report A-0257/2011, for which I voted. It concerns the repeal of acts that are no longer relevant, so as to improve transparency and legal certainty in the Union. It is not, in fact, within the Commission’s powers to declare obsolete acts which were adopted by the Council or the European Parliament and the Council. That is why, in the interests of legal certainty, the repeal of legal acts must be authorised by the Union’s legislator. As such, and as the proposed amendments are intended to establish more clarity and legal certainty for the Union’s citizens and institutions, I voted for this report."@en1
